Did You Adopt This Black Lab from Countryside Humane Society?

Is Countryside that incompetent that they don't have a record of who they adopted this little girl to? Especially with Maggie having been assigned an adoption number. Or are they refusing to admit another screw-up.

Once the dog is kenneled for 7 days it's legally no one's dog and is up for grabs. They're probably caught between a rock and a hard place and most likely prohibited from providing that information. It's on the family who lost her.

I adopted a rescue and prayed for weeks the former owners wouldn't show up. (He was a stray)

The owners did report it to their local law enforcement agency, did contact CHS the day they disappeared and asked if the dogs were brought in, they said no, the owner was upset and continued their search posting on Craigs List etc. I think there is a communication problem with owners and CHS and vice versa, the person on the end of CHS instead of saying no they are not here, help guide the owners of lost pets through filing a report with them, people have to understand to file a report with CHS, and also Lost Dogs of Wi. They transferred her Collie to a Collie rescue and I believe there is a story coming on that because the Collie rescue so far as refused to return the dog, even after the owners were willing to pay any of their expenses. I still question though why the dog came in with one ID # and name and showed up in the adopted out folder under a different ID# and name, they don't usually change names
