Highway 11 Public Information Meeting

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) invites the public to an information meeting to discuss upcoming reconstruction of Highway 11 from 92nd Street in Sturtevant to Highway 31 in Mount Pleasant.

The meeting will be an informal open house. The project team will be available to answer questions and address concerns relating to the project, which is scheduled for 2017 and 2018.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. 

If you are unable to attend the meeting, or would like more information, contact Gary Metzer at (262) 574-5685. Written comments regarding the project can be mailed to Gary Metzer, P.E. WisDOT Project Manager at 141 NW Barstow, Waukesha, WI 53187-0798 or e-mail to gary.metzer@dot.wi.gov. Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter may request one by contacting the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay System (dial 711).

At Village Hall, residents can pay property taxes, sign up for programs through the Parks Department, register to vote, and pay tickets and taxes among other services.

The new village hall is now open just north of the intersection of Washington Avenue and 90th Street. The new building anchors a centrally located campus that is also be home to the police department, and a new Department of Public Works building is also now open for business.

A good deal of green space will be incorporated into the existing Smolenski Park on Stuart Road.
