Anderson was reported missing at about 2:28 am on July 5 by relatives concerned that he had not returned home.

He was last seen on North Beach in the City of Racine and while a search of the area did not immediately turn up any clues, Captain Smith said family members located some of Anderson's personal belongings.

Racine police searched the water and police were considering calling the Coast Guard down from Milwaukee to aid in the search if Anderson had not been found.
