Love Hurts: Police Say Man Attacked Wife's Boyfriend

Suspect is charged with starting a fight with his wife's boyfriend after she dropped the boyfriend off at work Monday evening.

A 35-year-old Racine man is accused of getting into a fight with his wife’s boyfriend in front of the man’s Mount Pleasant employer.

Juan Arjon was charged in Racine County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of disorderly conduct. If convicted, he faces up to 90 days in jail and $1,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint, Mount Pleasant police officers were called at 10:01 p.m. Monday to Grand Packaging, 2701 Oakes Road, for a report of a fight in front of the business. When officers arrived they didn’t find a fight, but they were called back to the police station after Arjon reported to the lobby to file a complaint about the incident.

When an officer got back to the station Arjon was gone because, police said, he had gone to St. Mary’s Medical Center to get treatment.

According to the police report, Arjon told the officer he and his wife had been separated for about a year but were talking about getting back together. He said he was driving by the business when he saw his wife’s car and when he pulled into the lot to see what she was doing there, the other man attacked her.

His wife, though, told police a different story. Officers say she informed them the other man has been her boyfriend for two years and that Arjon has been known to follow her. She was taking her boyfriend to work at the time of the incident.

Arjon will make his initial appearance in court Jan. 10.
