Critical Injuries Follow Friday Evening Crash

A head-on collision Friday evening sent three people to the hospital, including a 3-year-old boy.

Three people were hospitalized Friday night, when two cars collided head-on as they traveled in opposite directions on Highway 38 near the intersection with Brook Road.

In the northbound vehicle were Linda Feely, 41, and her 3-year-old son, Patrick Beecher, both of the 2800 block of Crestview Drive in Caledonia, according to information provided by the Caledonia Police Department. The two were left in critical condition, and taken away by Flight for Life. The Journal Times reported Feely was taken to Froedtert hospital in Wauwatosa, and her son to Children's Hospital. The driver of the southbound vehicle, 27-year-old Aaron Steckman, of the 4100 block of Northwestern Avenue, was taken to Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints hospital in Racine, where he was listed in stable condition Friday night.

The crash happened at 5:07 p.m. Friday. Caledonia police and the Wisconsin State Patrol are investigating.

On Saturday, The Journal Times reported Steckman had been released from the hospital.
