Bicycle vs. Auto Accident Seriously Injures Mount Pleasant Man

Police say Ray Fliess had to be transported to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.

 

Mount Pleasant Police say that Ray Fleiss, 88, Mount Pleasant, was seriously injured in an accident on Sat., Oct. 8, when he was struck by a car while riding his bike.

According to a written release, Fliess was first transported to Wheaton Franciscan but was tranferred by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee for treatment of his injuries.

Officers report they responded to a call at 7:18 am at the corner of Mariner and Sunnyslope Drives. Fliess was riding his bike southbound on Sunnyslope when he was struck by Kristen Welch of Racine. Welch was traveling west on Mariner when the accident occured.

Mount Pleasant Police continue to investigate the incident and have referred the matter to the Racine County District Attorney's office for review.

Further information about Fliess' condition is unknown at this time.
