Dear Wisconsin Voter, you are a divided bunch and that will likely make for a dramatic election cycle next year.

The elections will include trench warfare.

That's what Craig Gilbert, of the Journal Sentinel, said and hammers out his argument for why he believes neither party can afford to assume a lead in his article The Wisconsin Voter.

"If Wisconsin has returned to something like a 50/50 state, that suggests  2012 will be a furious partisan trench war – for president, for Herb Kohl’s vacant US Senate seat and for governor if Democrats try and succeed in forcing a recall election against Walker," Gilbert wrote.
